Welcome to our Punkin' Patch! We have a lot of fun lovin' Jesus, livin' life, and letting Him drive as we enjoy this adventure we call life. So here's a little window into our world. :)

Sweet Words to a Mommy's ear
Well, before I get to my story I should tell you that although my littlest punkin' does plenty of baby babble, says "hey, Dada, bye, and Ni for night night" and sings on a regular basis, she doesn't say Mama. Oh maybe once or twice with lots of wishful thinking she has happened upon those syllables. But she has never REALLY said it with intent.
Here lately my littlest punkin' hasn't been sleeping very well either. We have had some relatively minor health concerns, so I have been waiting for the sleeplessness or growth spurt or whatever it is to pass. In the meantime, I have been getting very little sleep. So tonight when my GJ began to cry only an hour after being put in bed, I was a little frustrated. I gave a deep sigh and a few quick, but earnest prayers for wisdom and mercy.
As I entered the mostly dark room, my littlest punkin' was sitting up fussing in her baby babble way. (She was probably fussing about me not getting there soon enough.) And as I went to the crib her big sweet eyes looked up at me and she said, " Mama Mama". AAAWWWW My heart melted right there and then right along with all that frustration. I snuggled and nursed her and told her that if she was gonna say Mama when I came to get her I might come a little quicker next time. :)
